thank you so much you don't understand how much you saved me I didn't know it was such an easy fix my water has been running dang near full blast for 2 months now but we didn't know how to fix it and we couldn't find anyone to help us fix it we'd ask the hardware store but they didn't have the exact pieces at the time luckily they had it today and your video showed me how to fix it so I truly thank you.

If you are replacing with Danco kit, NARROW END OF SPRING GOES INTO RUBBER SEAT AND BIG SIDE GOES INTO RECESS. If this a HORIZONTAL faucet like on a tub, getting the spring/assembly in to the recessed hole is tough. Put a small plastic bobbin on the stem of the skinny screwdriver, then put rubber/spring and guide into recess. Use a second screwdriver to push down on the dobbin, pushing the rubber/spring. Withdraw screwdriver and reassemble.

this Danco 10405 is same size of different size’s in the market bcz i have now this problem end the thing Danco 10405 was damaged i want this new but i want to know model but my shower was 18 years old how can i know this model ?

What is the point of that spring and gasket piece? I bought a new cartridge piece but didn’t get the spring and seal for my Delta faucet…

My stem didn’t come with a spring & cartridge. Nor is there one in my sink. Is that normal?

How do you know which handle is leaking other than the water temperature leaking out?

Cartridge cost was 42 dollars in my area, brand new faucet was 31 dollars

That's not a repair... you are just replacing the entire valve cartridge which is a big waste of money. You can just replace the orings and seal for pennies.

does the rubber part have to go in the hole or just sit on top?
