My landlord said he fixed it, but still leaked. Found this video and was able to identify the problem. The parts were not seated correctly. Fixed it myself! Thank you Shane!

Possibly one of the best step-by-step how to videos out there.

Thank you for this video, I would have not guess how to do this. That trick with the spring letting it slide down the screw driver was awesome, to help guide the screw back into place. This video was like getting training on the job. Thank you.

I REALLY appreciate the details you've given in this video. I have to repair two faucets, and I'm a novice at fixing things such as a bathroom faucet. Thank you so much. I hope you continue to show more videos for repairing and replacing parts in and outside the home.

1) The on/off action might not be so stiff if you coated everything with silicone grease during installation.
2) I couldn't get the round metal top part off either with a adjustable plyers. Thanks for tip on using a pipe wrench, as I didn't care if it left marks. When applying torque on the piece to loosen it, hold the faucet spigot with an opposing force so the faucet mounts are not stressed.
3) Thanks for the excellent video.

Adjustable wrench (aka Crescent wrench) or Knipex Pliers Wrench also work. If you can't find brass jaws, smooth jaws also work but avoid toothed jaws on typical water pump pliers. The wide side of the included wrench can also be used to adjust a top nut that appears on some models.

The knob for that one is Delta RP17451 Clear Knob Handle Kit and will stop leaking. I put the same knob you have there and was causing leak until I put the RP17451 and grab perfect.

Thanks ! I’ve been putting off fixing my delta knock-off dripping faucet for “8” years now. Gonna go to local hardware store and hope they have a universal kit like the one you used. I’ve been concerned over the water pressure tank switching on more than normal. Like everything that is overused, there’s a wear and tear issue. Not to mention my super costly well pump being over used. So thanks again! God Bless you!

I cannot get the "nut" off even using a strap wrench like you did. Unfortunately now the sink drips more than it did before so something with my attempts to get it off made it worse. I know I can fix it if I can get that part off but I don't know how I'm gonna do that. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

This is a great video, thank you. I do have one question though. My faucet is not dripping but is leaking at the base of the oblong silver piece of the faucet that sits on the sink itself. Will this fix you have shown us fix that problem.
