John, I've been doing the first version with the exact same handles and positioning for about a year now after experimenting with different attachments. In an ideal world I'd use a nautilus pullover, but this is a great alternative. I really find it takes the tension off the triceps and puts it onto the lats. This is so crucial when you are going heavy on this movement and with other attachments I've felt like my triceps were almost verging on suffering an injury. Good stuff.

I do this with long pulldown bar. thx for suggesting this variation. I didn't think of it. gonna try it next back day.

Always i start my back day with this exercise because it is isolation exercise

Also, this exercise is great for back if you have any bicep problems. I injured both biceps and simply could not engage by biceps without issues. No lat pullowns, no bent over rows. This keeps the biceps out of the back workout allowing you to keep training back.

I do this with straight bar since i want to learn the front lever. Great exercise to get that turtle shell back look.

I will do tomorrow your last back workout video with this exercise. I try this movement at home only moving my arms like with cable and man this will be my favorite exercise for upper back :D

I love the SAPD. To me its more of a pushing move, from top to below the center of the Body. But anyways.
I use it as first exercise in combination w/ a FacePull or a scapular (weighted) PullUp as Superset. Its a fine synergetic approach of the upper Back. In the first combo you go straight from internal to external rotation which you wanna do as often as possible.
These 3 Exercises done consecutively as 1 Set are also great IMHO. I'd also consider those more as accesories than just correctives. Scapular strenght is very useful and needed with compounds like Deadlift, Bent Over Rows, etc
