This is the most informative troubleshoot for the location share issue I've seen (location working on iPhone but I can't share my location with a person). You offer several high level things to check/do with quick explanations that are easy to follow. There's so many posts with the obvious things to check, so it's tedious when you actually have a problem to fix.

I had already tried most of the things shown here but you did give me two new things I hadn't tried yet. Well ... I'm sad to report I still haven't found a fix.

It has to be something really obscure but I don't know what else would affect location sharing. I've combed all through permission settings too but maybe I'm missing something? All I know is I've tried everything I can find on this and nothing has worked lol. Arghhhh.

Your instructions were easy. My issue was with my daughter's screen time restrictions and you showed where to change the setting. Google even found the exact moment in the video to forward to. Very nice. Thanks for making it easy to fix!

Thanks but Im. Tracking my son’s iPhone from my iPhone and his location hasn’t updated in 4 days. Keeps showing where he was 4 days ago. When I checked his phone it still shows that he’s sharing with me. Any suggestions?

None of that worked My fix was setting>cellular>sims or eSIM primary>turn on data roaming *fixed

Yea the reset location and privacy setting worked… I was doing everything else but once I did that it worked… I just had to stop and share my location with the person
