I just received my Big Berkey bundle today after purchasing it through a Black Friday sale. I watched your video twice before attempting to put it together. I did have trouble getting the gaskets snug enough but finally stopped and started again and that time they did not leak! Your tutorial really helped me because I am a visual learner and working on an old habit of thinking I am not able to put things together by myself. I did it and I am proud! The fluoride filters are backordered and I look forward to getting them as I have tap water. My next project is to make some sourdough starter and begin cooking with it. I tried it a few months ago and woke up one morning to find it was traveling down my countertop and headed to find me! LOL This time I will make less (I live alone) and use a covered storage jar like you do. I did find a glass container like yours at a thrift shop so I am ready to try again.

After soaking the plastic spicket in vinegar the calcium deposits should come off. I’d hang on to it for a back up or another DIY with a spicket.

We just got a Berkey last week and I'm in LOVE!!!! I like to drink about a gallon of water a day. But going to the store to refill 5gal jugs every week was such a PAIN that I found myself not drinking as much... Since we got our Berkey I can't stop drinking water knowing that I can simply refill it everyday straight from the tap!

Thanks for these simple instructions! I was super confused by the MFG instructions not to mention the blue ballon thing that wouldn’t fit any of my faucets to prime the filters.

So glad you made this video! I'm good at putting kits together, but I looked at this and thought "What...? This makes no sense..." Never would have guessed the water comes out of the screws.

When you clean them be sure to prime them again for optimal flow!!! Yuge difference. Trust me
