⤵️INFORMATION & RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS
The process of detailing, restoring value, and maintaining a golf cart can be done by anyone: a professional detailer, golf club staff, or golf cart owner. Restoring the bumpers, flooring, and seats (plastic, rubber, vinyl) is easy with just a clean wipe-on of RENEW PROTECT: BLAK, SATN, or GLOZ.

For regular washing, we recommend using a car wash soap, a soft-tip brush with LIGHT pressure, and a deionized water filtering system. For a prep wash to be followed with a full cart detailing, we use ZEP Truck and Trailer Wash. Also a little ammonia added to a car wash soap will take Ph higher. Make sure to follow instructions. These product have a high pH and can damage surfaces if used incorrectly. We do not recommend ZEP or ammonia for regular washes. Please give ‘Magic Erasers’ (melamine foam) or dense foam cleaning pads a try for vinyl seats, scuffs, and hard water spots. Another option for HARD WATER SPOT REMOVAL is to use an acid wheel cleaner for your local auto parts store or order a mineral spot remover.
We recommend two means of application: a microfiber towel for light spots or a large size Magic Eraser for stubborn areas.

ONE STEP - HARD WATER SPOT & POLISH
A great labor saver trick is to polish and remove spots in one step. Apply spot remover to workable area and allow 30-60secs for mineral deposits to soften. Now apply small amount of RENEW PROTECT CART/RV polish/sealer to Magic Eraser and buff. This will remove spots, correct the finish and cut the labor time in half for this task.

Dry only with microfiber towels. Cotton and other fibers can scratch gelcoat paint and clear coat, acrylic windshields, and clear vinyl enclosures. Also, we do not recommend using glass cleaner. Better options for cleaning acrylic windshields and clear vinyl are RP.11 or your preferred spray detailer.

Never use typical 'protectants.' Almost all protectants are combinations of silicone, oil, glycol, and solvents, regardless of what the label says. The solvents will slowly destroy any surface. If it feels greasy after application, it is full of solvents.

Hi guys, so one thing you didn't touch on was the windshield. Where I work, we have an old fleet of carts and the windshields are in pretty bad shape. At the base of nearly every windshield are these white spots - maybe that's what people refer to as hard water spots?.

I'm not sure if there's a product worthy of these "stains", or if buffing is required. I do have a Dremel, but I'm not experienced with buffing and I probably won't have time to take the whole windshield apart, so I want to clean best I can while attached. I don't want to trial-and-error this. I'm hoping you guys (or someone reading this) is experience with this sort of issue and knows how to attack it. 1 time, first time, clean and done. And if there's a polish or something to use to help protect, that's even better.

I'm going to look into the Mr. Clean for the upholstery and you got me curious about the floors, cleaning and protecting.

The product you use on the floor, I imagine that's also good around the cup holders and such, because yeah, our carts ideally need to be replaced, but I don't think they'll have the budget in my lifetime, so I want to do what nobody else is doing and restore these best I can in the limited time I have.
