i never understood people who say someone didn’t play a game ”correctly”. if you want it played in the way YOU want, then play it YOURSELF. i hope jack will play it on his own time and enjoy it though would have been fun to experience it with him

This is EXACTLY what happened to Mark with Undertale. He put two episodes on it on his own, then people yelled at him for not doing it right, so he started from scratch and only played it on big streams with Tyler, while not taking the game as seriously as he would if he made regular videos, which is a BIG shame cuz it was obvious he was enjoying it a lot on the first two episodes.

I honestly can't blame him; games like Deltarune and Undertale are literally meant for you to play how you want. It's a *choice* . But there's people who get so mad because you don't play it how *they* want *you* to experience it, and it ends up driving people away from the game. Truly frustrating.

as someone who’s never really been in the undertale/deltarune sphere, I loved Jacks playthroughs. I especially loved the voices he did for the characters.

Im so devastated. His play through is one of the only ones I watched and liked enough to return to. His voices and reactions are incredible and I'm so mad that people can't just let people play.

Storytime, this just happened to a friend of mine. She was trying to play Deltarune, but her friend was like “No don’t do that! Do this/that, etc.” She felt stressed and didn’t want to play it.
However, when we played together and I told her to, and I quote “pop off, Queen”, and she genuinely enjoyed playing it how she wanted (Even though she fought almost every enemy and started sparing halfway through.)

I knew that this was going to happen as I watched Jack's playthrough through the second chapter. I was thinking "oh, I bet people will get upset that Jack isn't talking to absolutely every npc and isn't saving every npc for 100% town completion" and here we are. I'm sorry this happened to Jack.

Its genuinely so upsetting that someone so foundational to the Undertale community has been treated like this is. Like he was the definitive voice for pretty much all of the characters. He was one of the first big main stream youtubers to play Undertale.

I'm glad to hear he'll play it in his own time, but it makes me really sad he wont make anymore videos on it.. I loved his playthrough's of deltarune, they were the main way I watched them. I couldn't really imagine watching anyone else other than him play it. I watched videos about deltarune later on but I watched Sean's let's play's to really get into the story along with him. He was what introduced me to undertale and deltarune in the first place
