iPhone 15 Pro Max new vs one year later: 89% battery health!

I’ve been using the iPhone 15 Pro max as my main phone for a year, and it’s down to 89% battery health. So, how does that translate to battery life, compared with a brand new device? I tested the phone when I first got it, and again after one year.

In my battery test, Avengers is played back on a loop until the phone runs out of battery. The screen is set to full brightness, and phones are on airplane mode, with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off. All tests are filmed with new phones that have full battery health.

And if you really want to make sure Apple isn’t purposely making the lower iPhones bad/lose battery, don’t touch the 2 phones, don’t update, don’t turn or let the phone be looking for signals, etc.

I mean, you used the phone for a year and probably reduced the Maximum capacity it has (It’s in the settings app in Battery). My phone was a hand me down so the previous owner brought my maximum capacity down asf. But I’ve only lost 1% in a year cuz I can take care of my phone. And it’s currently at 84% and lasts me a whole day+ of playing COD, FC mobile, etc, watching movies and YouTube.
