I have the 16 pro max. I upgraded from the 12 pro max. Happy with the upgrade. I only use the camera control button to launch the camera. Once I’m in, I use the touch screen for everything else.

Appreciate the non-clickbait title, and good to hear, even if it’s not super surprising; it doesn’t seem like it’s done much to improve over the last several years. I missed this on the 15’s but amazed they went to 48MP…trying to get more people to buy the storage plans? Sheeesh. Sticking with my old 12 pro max for now

I wanted to upgrade each year after getting my 13 pro max but I haven't been able to justify it. I want to buy a new one. But I'd rather buy the 13 pro max again as things stand now. They new ones are barely any better.

Really disappointed with the 16 pro max. Im Still charging 2 or 3 times a day. No better than the 15 pro max I traded in after a year with 600 charge cycles and 89% battery health. I hope the next update improves it.

Relax my friend all these bugs will get corrected with an update. Every new phone comes out with bugs that then get fixed later that's what's gonna happen with the iphone, it happened with my s24 ultra an that one had a lot of of issues and today the phone is amazing. My 16 pro max the camera is really good no complaints here but even my camera will get better with future updates.

The iPhone 16 pro max is awesome. It’s not overheating and the camera is excellent. I’m a documentary/street photographer….and very picky about my gear. Guys that shoot women, pretty girls, all this meaningless nonsense or who are influencers are not always the right people to listen to because they work in environments that are static, controlled, predictable and without emotion … not real life. Too much influence in society and thought comes from people who don’t produce the kind of work that matters. Additionally, Manny has the 15, of course the 16 is not a shocking upgrade. But this is a great phone and should be seen as a privilege to own. So many would love to have this technology. It’s awesome and decide for yourself instead of listening to YouTubers.

I think some of the issues with the thermals you had are possibly software problems. The 16 Pro Max at least ran 11-13 degrees in cooler in gaming tests over the 15 Pro, so it was the opposite.

I returned the 16 pro max, keeping my 15 pro. Display calibration is not excellent on 16 pro models, white balance and delta e is off compared to previous displays. No good for lightroom editing on the go. Ipad pro m4 11" is superb in that regard tho, as well as 15 pro & pro max.

I totally agree. I was thinking to upgrade to the 16. And after Tony Northrop review and yours I think I will skip this one and stay with my 15 pro max

I agree with you. I also bought every iPhone starting from the 12 pro max. 16 Pro Max is definitely the worst upgrade out of the 5. I returned the 16 pro max. Looking forward to iPhone 17.
