Barbra Streisand - 1986 - One Voice - Over The Rainbow

On the eve of the 1986 US Presidential elections, Barbra Streisand welcomed 500 guests to her Malibu home for her first full-length concert in 20 years. Originally planned as a fundraiser for the Democratic party, the concert was subsequently broadcast on television to great acclaim and has since raised millions for charity. The concert includes many of Streisand's best-loved songs such as 'Somewhere', 'People' and 'The Way We Were'. Also features a special guest appearance from Barry Gibb.

Barbra, you sang this so beautifully..what a tribute to such an amazing women who sang this song at a very young age...every time i hear this song i think of Judy in the Wizard of Oz.... A movie that will live on eternally

Yeah, just incredible. Thanks for posting this. Such great memories of watching The Wizard of Oz with my parents in the late 70a/early 80s. We recorded the movie on cassette so we could play it whenever we went camping in Jenny Jump Forest in Hope, NJ.
I love that she said Ora-gone. That’s how I say it too. My husband in CA makes fun of me but you can’t make fun of Babs! So great hearing this!!!❤️👍

I say this as an European, I don´t have the same fascination for Judy as US-citizens have. In my opinion Barbra´s rendition is way better than the original. Cos she has the vocal skills Garland never had...
