EKG Interpretation for DUMMIES

You can use this video to start learning EKGs. The first steps to learning EKGs is to understand the waves, how EKGs are measured and understanding the EKG graph paper.

EKGs tell the story of the electrical conduction through the heart, by reading a EKG we can then evaluate the patients condition. Learning EKG interpretation is one of the first skills you will master as a Paramedic and you will assist with EKG interpretation as an EMT provider.

White is right, smoke over fire poop on grass. But that’s for the 5 lead. Or a 4 lead with a ground if you want to get technical. It’s also really great if you don’t stick the black lead over a pacemaker lol.

Mometrix states that the duration of the QRS complex is .06 - .10, are they pretty much the same or should i refer to one more than the other?
