As a resident of Hawaii I can confirm all of this is great advice. Also we don't know how to use our turn signals, so just be careful lol

This is what they should be showing on every flight that comes into Hawai’i. I’ve been saying this for years. Hawaiian Airlines is finally showing some kind of awareness film but this is straight forward and speaks the truth. Mahalo for sharing awareness with visitors. This could be saving their lives especially at the ocean. Mahalo!

When I was at the black sand beach on the big island last summer, with a few other people I helped flip this poor sea turtle that was stuck belly up. Guess I broke the rule, but in a good way😊

As a Hawaiian from the big island, I can confirm all of this is great advice and true for your first time, the first one, never touch them, never gives you 2 years of prison if cought, or just a 1.5k fine

Alot of locals were going 15 mphs slower then the posted speed limit. I had trouble getting my car back to the rental place in time...got to the cruise ship just in time.

The tour bus driver freaked out when an old tourist went down, the wrong way, on one way entrance. He was going at a snails pace...she was screaming...im like he is barely moving. It is really laid back, but that is a great thing about Hawaii outside the beauty of its nature. I went 7 yrs ago which is great because I can't afford it now.

Definitely support local restaurants, for sure for sometimes those late night Zippys fried noodles just hit different 😵 Wish we had them on the mainland!!

And when your on the road to Hana please be considerate and pull over for locals you may be on vacation but some of us still have jobs to do🤙🏽

I know drivers on the highway are constantly living on aloha time and I'm all about it but dang get out the fast lane if you're going to doing the same speed limit as the guy right next to you. Regardless of what state you live in, highway etiquette is universal.

Everything else is on point, my howlie ass learned all of these pretty quick.

If you do visit, Hawaii is very important to follow these rules. Plus another good tip for first timers, Do not honk your horn here, to us it’s very rude to honk your horn and could be looking to get a black eye
