When I tried privately selling my 2020 Model 3 a few weeks back, with FSD, it seems like FSD didn't do anything to encourage buyers. When running the KBB value, FSD didn't even that much value. Thankfully Tesla brought back FSD transfer so when I took delivery of my Model Y last week (and traded in the Model 3), I transferred FSD to the Model Y.

Thanks for the great video❤. To me PPF is like a screen protector, but the difference is that is a extremely expensive one. When it get damaged, how many people will actually take it off and swap a new one? And if you don’t swap it, the chip is still there and bothering you the same as if it is on the paint. It is really just saving the paint for the next owner 😢

What are your thoughts on the current Depreciation situation. Thinking about the 3 Performance but Edmunds is saying it will depreciate $32, 000 in 5 years. That is the only reason for me not to pull the trigger

The trips I sometimes make on the highway to visit family are the reason for LR. Otherwise no, you don't need it. One other thought is when the LR degrades, you'll still have the range of a plus...then a standard...then it's fine for around town. I drive a 2011 Nissan Leaf with about 80 miles of range max on most town trips. I bought a 2018 LR used from Tesla with about 20 months and 12, 000 miles of warranty with full FSD, speed boost, sport wheels, and rear heated seats for a little over $40k.

About the PPF: i equipped the Mini i owned before Tesla with a self locking diff (expensive!) Coilovers etc. Nobody cared when i sold it...

Why would you think that adding PPF would increase the car's value at sale? Its value is to you, if you care about preserving/protecting your car from rocks, scratches, and stuff like that. The only "increase" to resale it may give, is that the buyer would have a potentially less damaged car, as there would be less signs of wear and tear from rock chips and dings. There would be fewer "deductions" taken off, that's all.

Price increases stated in dollar amounts aren't nearly as informative as when stated as a _percentage_. E.g., $39, 990 -> $46, 990 = 17%, or nearly 20%.
