I was going to say this on the last podcast and then just forgot, but it feels fitting to put it here...

I'm with you man, I just don't get why people have to complain about everything.

There was no real bad news here, just different news than people wanted after overblowing expectations, but there is just so much hate being spewed that it's just disgusting.

I am completely fine with what this Direct offered. With such a sudden announcement for the Direct and how short it was I wasn't expecting Pokemon Stars or Eclipse or any Pokemon game for the Switch, but we did get Pokken on the Switch and that did surprise me. Pokken on the Switch does make me happy.

It's okay to be disappointed, but you can't say that this is bad news. A new Pokemon game, whether or not it comes to the switch, is a good thing. We all want a mainline Pokemon on switch, but don't let your disappointment bring these games down.

Nintendo did state that the 3ds and switch would coexist.

I expected Pokken on Switch since they didn't updated the Wii U version nor added the new characters from the arcade version...

Didn't expect a mainline game on the Switch since that is what they also did with gen 5 and the people's reception are just the same, though you could argue that you can play DS games on the 3DS...

I'm glad people are disappointed, but I like it. Looking forward to playing USAM on new Nintendo 2DSXL. And never played Pokken tournament. I'm happy I can play a 3D fighting game on the Switch without having someone's butt in my face.

The dissatisfaction with the direct may get Nintendo to think about some things however.

I was completely disappointed by the direct. Going to pass on the Ultras. Gold and Silver are always fun, but this direct was a waste of time to me.

Why are Pokemon fans pissed of? The Switch is a few months old, there is no and absolutely NO way of them making an entirely new game for it in just a year. That and you got Pokemon stars in a way. Did you really expect that they would release a new gamr in just a short amount of time. This is game freak after all and the Switch is a portable HOME console. So as long as the 3DS exists there won't be a main title for Switch. Masuda even said that. And besides that Pokemon Sun and Moon came out 7 Months ago... 7 MONTHS and you are still starving for a new title. I personally love Pokemon (and I would have loved a Gen 4 remake), but stop just stop people. If you are now bitching about that. What if you were in a fanbase like the F-Zero ir Metroid community, who have been starving for a main title for over 7 years now. They have all rights ti flame, not you Pokemon Fanbase

I said it! I called it! I said months ago there is no way that a new main line Pokemon game will appear on the Switch this early in the console life cycle .. if you notice patterns from previous year this was a given, if you have a sense of business, Nintendo announcement of New2DSxl sealed the deal for the next Pokemon game to stay on 3DS family it makes sense from a business side and from Nintendo habits, think about the Switch its going very well in sales but Nintendo can't keep them in stock to have that install based needed for a main line Pokemon game. always Pokemon is used to sell consoles its used to boost the sales of a console once its initial sales spike begin to calm down to give the co sole another juice of life, mid gen games or remakes are just to fill in gaps and double down on already established income base, Pokemon Ultra Sun/Moon are not ment to be record breakers just to give some good funds to help fund the next main project. I said it next year maybe or the following year (next year Diamond and Pearl remake Switch/3DS and 2019 Pokemon full Switch ____?? gen 8)

Pokken on Switch? Okay. I have real Tekken on my PS4, now, but Pokken was fun enough. I'll get it. Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon... For once I am genuinely disappointed that Nintendo hasn't outright abandoned their old handheld. I'm sure they will sell mega bucks, but I'm still disappointed. Gold and Silver? Okay, sure. Why not Crystal? All and all, my Pokemon itch has been satisfied for quite some time. I wasn't really wanting anything Pokemon related, but I'm sure I'm the minority on that and I'm happy for anyone that is excited.

Don't know much about Pokémon but I would assume Nintendo is going to be porting almost all of their first party Wii U titles over since it's a relatively easy cash grab, hence pokken. Don't know much about Pokémon but after this direct I think it's fair to assume they're working on an entirely new Pokémon experience since today's information seemed underwhelming, at least from a general hype perspective, and like they're just tying the knots on a few old projects. Don't know much about anything but I'd say winter 2018 is the earliest to expect anything actually new which means they've got to be developing it now. I don't know. Hi.

pokemon stars is a codename not an actual game and it appears that Stars is 3 games in one or rather 2 builds with the third unannounced according to the update on the Eurogamer rumour.

take this with some Ultra Salt and wait till e3.

as a fighting game fan I really tried to like pokken, I even bought the controller for it... But it was a very simple game and I lost interest in a day or two. I think I'll skip it on the switch
