Today's BIG Story 6/29/17: Miyamoto's mysteriously cancelled DS title

Welcome to Today's BIG Story for June 29th, 2017. Today we found out that Shigeru Miyamoto worked on a pet project for the DS that was nearly completed, and then scrapped with no explanation!

Nintendo usually aren't ones to let an idea go to waste, so if this mystery game made it to 90% completion before being cancelled, then it's almost certain that we'll see at least some element of it in a future title. In fact, for all we know, we may have even already seen it!
