I am pretty sure that's how a lot of old school games came to be. Music, alcohol maybe some drugs and a Nintendo game.

Always interesting to hear these kinds of stories. I loved Wipeout 64, never played the ps games. I have been in some art circles(West Coast, Seattle and Vancouver) both in animation and gallery art and in some of them, there was quite a bit of cannabis (which is now legal there) but there's quite a few like me who were never into that(I'm out of the industry now). I am guessing there is some similarity in the video game field, although I can only speculate.

Haha! The bit where you seriously and solemnly "drink" a capped bottle of liquor!! Cracked me up! When I read that dev post I was assuming a few people playing together laughing way too loud and making bad jokes while driving recklessly in Mario Kart 😂
