Even without applying the 3 Generations rule, there still shouldn't be any question of Harry's blood status, as it is frequently stated that he is indeed a Half Blood wizard.

I find Harry's Family Line to be so facanating and intriguing, especially in regards to him being related to Ignotus (which would also make him a bit related to Voldemort when you really think about it). And this video really explained that perfectly (along with what different magical blood types make!!!)! :)
