CRKT M16 10KZ knife

Quick and short review on my EDC blade, the CRKT M16-10KZ knife. Great little knife for small jobs and everyday carry. Lightweight and very compact design.

Dude, trust me, that thing is nearly indestructible. I lost mine in my front yard for about 6 I live in northern It took rain! snow! sleet! mowing! airating!! everything! It got a little bit rusty and I put some oil on it and some WD-40 and a small file and got all the rust off it! There's still no problem with the sharpness or blade tightness! the lock works perfectly still! it's still good as new! I put it through hell and back and it works great!

I used to have an m16 for my edc and it worked fine, I really like the fast opening. I bought the m21 and I love it and the price is nice

I recently bought this knife, and so far i love it.It's a sturdy little knife that feels good in your hand, and it's a great size. My dad though, doesn't think it was worth what I paid for it ($50). Does anyone else agree with him? I was considering returning it and maybe buying another, different model.

I'm thinking about picking up an M16-12Z in a few days to replace my Gerber. Thanks for the good review!
What I do find a little odd is that my friend had one of these, and I remember that I really liked it, but its kinda small. 7in doesn't sound small, even though the m16-12 is just over 7in, and it seems much bigger...

Have never owned a CRKT of any type before and don't know much about them. My Sister-in-Law just got me the M16-14 Ti Tanto Big Dog as an early Xmas gift and it honestly looks like a beast of a knife! I'm excited to get it so I can check it out....evidently it's one of CRKT's flagship blades, HOWEVER I've seen some reviews that say the bead blast finished blade rusts easily. Familiar with this particular model?

great review i have the same knife. its a good knife what i did though was take out the lawks. for what i needed it was more of a bother.

Man I didn't know how much they up-charged the folks up in Canada for something like this. I guess we've got it made down here.

@evbunke2 The M16-12Z is a great knife overall, but has some issues with the steel quality. It tends to rust for no good reason, especially in the handle holes. I had mine for almost 4 years and I fell in love with it, untill I lost it in a hike a few months ago. Now I'm getting the M16-10KZ. I'd suggest you buy that one too if you haven't bought the 12Z already...

I hate the Zytel, and honestly the M16-10KZ sucks with the autolawks. Mine broke after about a month. BUT! I have an M16-12 and that thing spent an entire 2 years in a kayak (fell out of my pocket) and i when i finally found it, the thing was still in great shape! Some WD40 like you said cleaned it right up. CRKT M16 knives are great EDC's.

I made a mistake, I have the M21-02G which looks similar and has the locking liner, it's still $50 + 5% sales tax, and is the M16, but thats from Amazon, I bought mine in the store in the mall so that marked it up an assload.

after watching your vid, and hearing that these knives were selling on ebay for 18 bucks I had to buy this knife....AGAIN!

I had one about 7 years ago and lost it skateboarding :( I went to the knife store the next day to buy it again ( at the $120 price tag they used to be ) and was informed that the knife had been outlawed in Canada due to a politicians son being stabbed with one... and apparently the guy blamed the knife!? go figure.

anyway I think they are legal again..if not oh well:)

All you guys say $50 and $30 is high, lol I paid $65 because it crossed the border to Canada and theres a 7% fee, then another duty fee, and more fees and retail markups. Pain in the ass lol.
