I've had the M16-13Z for many years now as an EDC and I use it every day. Best knife I've ever owned.

Ive got a couple versions of this knife. Its a unique look and I find it works well for EDC.

This is my favorite knife ever. Daily use as an auto mechanic has proven it out behind all doubt in my mind.

This is my EDC knife (except I have the uncoated blade and the spear point) and it is the BEST knife I've ever carried.  I recommend this to everyone all the time.  The auto-lawks system takes a little getting used to but I really dig it.  I agree about putting lube on the hinge; I used some frog lube and it has kept the knife running smoothly for a quick deployment.

using my M16 for about 6 years now, always seem to need it in cold circumstances, in which the flipper is excellent when good dexterity is becoming a problem or when wearing gloves.

Nice vid man, the green background helps bring out the knife details, First saw an M16 when my ex navy bro passed his  to me to use, I was so impressed I bought the first one I saw in a store, and it kinda cured my need to buy all the cheap, shiny crap knives I saw, Had it for  years till one day I found out I had lost it ! I have replaced it now with a newer updated version, but read the small print guys, when buying online, my replacement is about 1 an1/2 inches shorter, but its still my fav EDC.  And to all you cold steel fans, take the plunge, you will not be dissapointed.                 PS  possesion of a lock knife in UK can get you 5yrs in the slam. .    ( harsh)

Would this make a good backpack camping knife or more suitable for Tactical application?
Great review.

I thought the blade was AUS 8?... I have this knife and the thumb studs on it suck... But it is very lightweight I have had some issues keeping it Sharp, but it sharpens easily just had some Edge retention issues with it have to sharpen it about once a week.

about 2 months ago i got myself one of these and a spyderco tenacious....

this one came in the mail first so i used it for a few days....

then the tenacious came

i havnt touched the crkt since. the jimping is too prominent for me. the blade doesnt sit centered unless i tighten the main screw to a point where the blade wont swing open properly. overall the handle feels very flimsy and while the hand sits well the grip leaves much to be desired. i dont particularly like serrated blades but im not docking it for that. the reason i got it was mainly to diversify and i do really like the autolawkz system (also because it was on sale for $23).

I have this knife. Overall I find it to be a bit too small for me (I wear XL gloves for comparison), but it's a decent knife to slip into a suit or other clothing where you don't want to be carrying a large knife.

The belt clip on mine is a little bit loose, and it quickly returns to that after tightening up the screws.

I can't open it with the finger only. I have to fast moving my wrist and arm.

cool review, got the same but with plain blade. Think it actually are pretty sturdy for being so lightweight.

I need help mine doset open quick nor does it open to well even with the flick. I tried unscrewing it and figuring it out but nothing. Also the blade seems to move on its hinges and makes it hard for it to open. Idk if i need lube if i do can someone tell me what lube to get?

Nice video, gotta admit I'm not a big fan of the M16, you do a good job talking about the flipper/thumb studs issue. I think the pocketclip is weak too. I'd take the Tenacious in that pricerange...

Thumbs up(+1) - Great review of this knife. That is the knife I carry on my off time and in the field. I really like the double locking feature of this knife for add safety. Thanks for sharing.
