NASA Design's Light Speed Engine That Defies Physics.

Yes, you’ve heard it right. Recently NASA is planning to build an engine that can perform its work at light speed. Consider an engine that does not require any propellant. It appears to be impossible, and it most likely is.

That hasn't stopped one NASA engineer from developing a hypothesis about the EmDrive — a "helical" engine that could defy physics and generate forward thrust without the use of fuel.

In this video, we will discuss how Such a creation would allow us to travel the far reaches of space and this would arguably be the most exciting technological advancement of the century.

Watch this video till the end to know the complete details about this engine.

It wouldn't defy physics, it would only defy and expand out current knowledge of physics

Misinformation alert: rockets do not burn gasoline but rather super cooled liquid oxygen

Again with the Emdrive Bullshit ? SERIOUSLY it was debunked years ago

Ok but what if the ship was built around the 200m long engine and perfected fusion powered super capacitors provided the energy to activate it? Like if we built a smaller version of an O'Neil Cylinder and put several of those engines around it, one for each of the 12 sections (don't ask why I chose a dodecagonal prism that's 500m long and 347-360m across as the shape of my theoretical ship in this scenario) and had a fusion reactor located in the middle aft of the ship charging super capacitors feeding into each Helical engine. This would all be built "30 years away" after we progressed fusion reactors to the point where they give off more energy than they use.

The EmDrive was already debunked last year, due to measurement errors.

Omg this video is like listening to an echo that we have heard before we all get a combustion engine will not work in space for distance and speed. You thinking of engines moving parts.

Let's just say for the sake of conversation that this actually worked (humor me). Think about the stress that current high G's put on the body at faster than the speed of sound. The human body couldn't withstand the pressure at even a percentage of light speed. See what happens to an insect when it hits a windshield at highway speeds and imagine the force on the body or even equipment as it slows down to 0 from a percentage of the speed of light. Without injecting any scifi here, to protect the outer shell of the ship i.e. no shields. Even an empty ship traveling to Mars either wouldn't make it do to overshoot or couldn't slow down once we got it there, again the overshoot. The breaking force of the reverse motion would also crush the ship like a soda can. They always talk about FTL or Warp drive engines without thinking through the breaking or pressure on body and components. We can't currently make it to the deepest bottoms of the oceans without causing too much harm on body or equipment with our current level of technology but we want to travel at light speed. Unfortunately this won't happen in our lifetime unless we think outside the norms of possibility.

How would a ship moving at light speed navigate and avoid collisions with maybe meteors etc in deep space? Help, there's an object coming in at half C at distance of twenty light seconds...ah, too late...

You talk about superspeed engine and on picture of the video you give picture of ION engine which is one of most slow engine for rockets XD

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. (John 1:1-3)

it has to have nuclear power to drive the engine

Yeah but I'm pretty sure as soon as the m drive gets into a vacuum it stops working

Hasn't this been credibly debunked?

Crap robo-voice speaking here, from a script written by AI that seems to be missing the "I"!
