So true, i mean show character are good but book characters and book story is bad ass not just for Rhaenyra and Daemon but others too show had missed some of the side characters who destined to have significance in the story not to forget about Helaena whose nature had been changed so much to a dreamer that the show runner doesn’t even know how will they end her in order to have a rebellion of the small folk and not to forget about the three wild dragons which were also to be claimed by the dragon seeds !!!! Where is that !!! And the glory of sunfyre !!

HBO is not destroying them. In the book their relationship already goes to hell. Daemon cheated a lot on her and she let him because at this point they no longer loved each other. Hell she even took in his ex mistress as her advisor. She only draws the line at Nettles. In fact i think Daemon likes them young and reckless. He only helps her because she is of his own blood and his queen. His sense of loyalty never wavers toward his regent whether brother or 'niece', ). But he has no loyalty as a husband

Everyone lost hope after GoT ended and Season 1 of HotD was incredible, right up there with the best of the main series in places. It can easily come back from the minor criticism points of S2
