Tokyo won the bid in 2013 to host the 2020 Olympics, making it the first Asian city to hold the Summer Games twice. The successful bid gave the country a much-needed boost at a time when the Japanese people were pessimistic about the country’s future following decades of deflation.

Billed as the Reconstruction Games, Tokyo 2020 also aims to support recovery efforts in the Tohoku region following the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. However, the early euphoria did not last. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought on unprecedented challenges for the host city. Despite all the uncertainties, athletes who have been training hard for Tokyo 2020 are determined to overcome any obstacles to be part of the historic Games.

I'm a Korean, and we Korean have a lot of trouble with Japanese, from historical context to economic competition. But this Olympic is a kind of resistance against the humanitarian crisis: even this pandemic cannot stop human beings from dreaming "Faster, Higher, Stronger." So it's not just a challenge to the Japanese. It is also a challenge for every nation. Thus I believe that my government and my society should have been ready to support Tokyo Olympic 2020.

Japan is highly regarded for its precision and they proved that even in this pandemic.

I feel sorry that Japan has to brave such an unexpected and unprecedented situation. Instead of making more criticism, the world should offer kind words of encouragement and pray for a good Game. We should be united to fight Covid-19. Countries should try to help each other after ensuring their own citizens are well protected.

IOC is the most openly corrupt institution and the Japanese people deserve compensation for the chaos they created and ignored. 100% of their earnings from broadcasting would be a good start.

This pandemic was designed and was perfectly timed to destroy China's adversaries.

Where is the end of the Japanese shamelessness?
What is the subtlety of the Japanese who force the Olympic athletes to feed Fukushima food ingredients that they have not eaten in 10 years?
Prime Minister Abe also resigned as prime minister after being ill, and a famous comedian died after being attacked inside after eating Fukushima seafood. Is the Japanese trying to kill Olympic athletes from all over the world? The Tokyo Olympics, which is likely to die of corona and nuclear contamination, is the worst Olympics. Japan would like to ask if the players will be compensated properly in the event of death.

This comment is going to be controversial, but you know what? 🗿 I feel indifferent about whether they cancel or continue with the Tokyo Olympics.🏀🏈🎾🎏
