While she's not actually his girlfriend, this actually sounds like a pretty good premise for an isekai. You could have a guy get summoned to another world who already had a girlfriend on Earth, and he eventually manages to contact Earth and ask her permission to summon her over as well.

Alternatively, there could be an age gap of nearly a decade between a couple when the older one dies and gets reincarnated in another world, so once he/she grows up and learns to summon his/her old partner, the age gap is then reversed.

Sometimes, Dub version makes more sense than the Sub version. I only watch both to spot the difference. Either way, this Series is considered one of the best Reincarnated Isekai Anime Series by far.(Did the MC have a Female VA in this one? He sounds like a Female all of the sudden.🤔)

I like the dub VA for the summon, she also was in higurashi, and I think did a wonderful job there too. Not too keen on the MC VA kinda threw me off but whatev I'm sure we'll all get used to it

Great actress! She always does a wonderful job, but I do agree with some other comments bellow that the people casting this show miscast her. It’s a waste of her skills placing her in a role her voice doesn’t fit. 😢
