20 BEST ADULT FANTASY BOOKS: out of 100+ responses | Modern musts, Classics & Hidden Gems

I asked both on Reddit & Instagram what is your TOP, NUMER 1 Adult Fantasy books of all time and got over 100 responses (yay, thank you!). Therefore, I categorised the most frequent recommendations in 4 different buckets:
- 1) Modern Must: the most popular adult fantasy books out there - 5 books with incredible high reviews-.
- 2) Rising Stars: those adult fantasy books that are getting a lot of momentum in booktube (Reddit & IG), but are yet not that popular.
- 3) Classics: Well. Classics (lol).
- 4) Hidden Gems: fantasy books that are considered classics, but are not that frequently talked about. I BET you will be surprised about this!

It's funny how I would also categorize ASOIAF as "modern" rather than "classics", even thought the first book is as old as Farseer or Wheel of Time. I wonder how different it would be perceived if it had been completed a decade or so ago!

Great video! 🧡 A lot of great series. My very favorite is The Stormlight Archive. But I also love The Black Prism by Brent Weeks. It has amazing magic system. Very clever and intriguing. I highly recommend it. 😊

That's such a cool video concept! You've really got me intrigued by the Dandelion Dynasty series now, I've been eyeing it before but never really knew what it was about, and chunky, epic fantasy kind of intimidates me still 😂

I would like to read Malazan (I think I spelled that wrong, ) but I read Gardens of the Moon so long ago I’d have to reread it.

Politics being more important than magical side of the universe in song of ice and fire is weirdest take i have heard whole point of the series is that characters wrongly ignore magical side of their universe in favor of fight for power and i think its clear what is more important
