In this video I'll show you how to fix and enable the fingerprint scanner on HP laptops using windows hello instead of HP simplepass/protect tools.

Awesome! After deleting the default driver and then restarting my HP ProBook, the Synaptics driver just appeared as a biometric device without me ever downloading it. It didn't even go through the install process and it NOT a hidden device. My fingerprints are now loaded. Thank you SO much!

Thanks for explaining it nice a slow unlike like some speed demons out there where there's no audio explanations and all you see is a cursor at warp speed.

Thank you, my fingerprint works!!! I needed to uninstall the driver. When I rebooted my laptop it works without install other driver. LOL

It works! my problem was i had the hello windows updated and it said that my fingerprint option is not available. I tried your advice and it solved my problem. Thanks a lot!
