Part of me is like “No! I need to make great tracks NOW” and yet I know you’re right. I mean I already do see small improvements in my stuff just because I’m learning so much, but I know that jump in quality won’t be huge for some time. Good thing I’m stubborn and won’t give up when I really care about something almost to the point of obsession 😅 Thanks for the encouragement 🙏

yo I started producing the same year and the timeline is similar. the first 3 years depending on your influences will mostly be figuring out what you like. the thing is worrying about improving fast can cause a lot of people to burn out or make producing not fun. I'm lucky because all I cared about was how fun making music is and creating with friends who also produce so I never forced myself to improve quickly. of course if your goals are urgent to you, its no problem to try and increase your skills fast but also remember art takes time and life experience to give it soul. so as long as you stick to it, research what you need to achieve your desired expression and put your feeling in the track, you'll surprise yourself how good you get in time

The best is to just have fun and stop thinking about every single thing

I can tell you after years of experience, people are worried about producing before they learn how to play an instrument or know much about how music is made in general. Most top producers in the world are either awesome musicians or they are very technically smart. Both of those come with a lot of dedication and effort. There are no shortcuts.

it’s hard to come to terms with the fact that your projects will suck for a while, but the outcome makes it all worth it :)

I've been producing for 5 years since 2019, I've learned so much from where I started and it amazes me just how much you can learn in a few years let alone a few months if your disciplined enough. Producing EDM not only showed me just how hard it is alone (and how much my respect grew for bigger artists then me, ) but how magical it is to turn a idea into something greater

Your videos always inspire me to keep pushing no matter what ♥

Right now I have only like 2 tracks/beats finished in a month or so, yet I feel like I have improved quite a bit due to how much I play around while messin with em and only focussed on quality, but your content really opends my eyes and feel even more motivated to focus on quantity, thank you for your content

Truth. This holds for learning an instrument too -- you'll get frustrated because you don't see progress. Why am I doing this if I'm not getting anywhere? A decade later and you might not even recognize the struggle you had in the beginning.

Can you recommend an online course or may be sharing the one who was teaching you? Appreciate it

I've been making music for fun since 2011 and still haven't found my groove. I've created many ideas from 8 to 16 bar loops etc, tried various chord progressions, scales, melodies and still can't get it right...still not giving up though...and i'm now 40 yo.
