this ought to be the most mature break up in the history of break ups and I could see they're hurting but how they're handling things I have to say I'm really impressed and have a lot of respect. I hope and wish nothing more than for them to find themselves and be happy with themselves and in the near future for them to unite again. they were a beautiful couple.

Dear Shannon and Cammie,
This video must have been very hard to make, edit and post. I'm usually one to respect privacy and not ask for details but thank you. Thank you so much for sharing this part of your life and taking the time to discuss this decision with us. It truly helps. As much as I've always loved watching both of you, I found myself not able to watch or enjoy any of your personal videos. No matter how hard I tried, the breakup felt like a big mysterious black cloud preventing me from enjoying any of your recent content. Today, I feel like I can see the break up just as it is. I feel like I can move on with you two and follow both of your personal journeys. And that feels good. Also, I can relate completely about your decision, having taken the same one myself for similar reasons some time ago. It must be so hard reading all these comments though, seeing people giving you advice like they know your life and feelings better than you do. But when I see you two still caring so much about each other and still just like your usual adorable selves, it really fills my heart with joy and I can assure you that this decision that you made, it's OK, because it's YOURS, and it's gonna be OK. You are both so brave for sharing this with us. You might not know who you are right now but I see two beautiful, strong, smart, funny, talented, kind hearted, passionate, wonderful young women. And much more. That's a hell a lot of cocktails possibilities. I hope you find one to your taste no matter where it takes you. I'm rewatching this video 5 years later and it makes so much sense. I remember watching it 5 years ago and not understanding why they were breaking up, why loving each other wasn't "enough", but now it makes so much sense. Relationships can get monotonous and even boring, and people in lesbian relationships have the tendency to become codependent and isolated (even more so during the pandemic) and so this video makes so much sense now. I thought it was the end of love, the end of hope, that you two broke up but it was actually the beginning of hope, it was probably freeing for you both to realise you had other options and you could go on and do other things in life.
It was great rewatching the video with new eyes.
