Let’s talk about how to reduce stress using ashwagandha.

Ashwagandha is an herb that has been around for a very long time and has minimal side effects.

Potential benefits of ashwagandha:
• It’s an incredible adaptogen (it helps you cope with stress and depression)
• It may help increase exercise performance
• It may help decrease cortisol
• It may help reduce fibroids
• It has anti-inflammatory properties
• It may help improve the immune system
• It supports cognitive function
• It may help lower blood sugar levels

It seems like natural alternatives are always attacked. Recently, there has been some fear around ashwagandha because, like other natural remedies, it’s not FDA-approved.

The committees that approve drugs have a lot of conflicts of interest. Many medications that are FDA-approved have a massive number of side effects, but people take them without hesitation.

You may find it beneficial to try ashwagandha and come off of it for a while to see how you feel. Ashwagandha is powerful for stress, but you may not need it after you change your lifestyle and get rid of stress. Natural remedies are great tools but aren’t meant to be taken for the rest of your life.

The fact that Dr Berg said it’s not meant to be taken for the rest of your life ... stop taking it, see how you feel, maybe your lifestyle has changed and you’ve reduced some stress in your life ...

This makes absolute sense!
Thank you!

I’m 33 years old, as growing up my mom said she never trusted doctors or believe them. As I got to my late 20’s I realized she wasn’t just crazy/ old mentality of thinking. Thank you for being brave enough to risk backlash for educating the masses.

I do not trust FDA. So if they don’t approve, it wouldn’t bother me.

Love the videos. As a pharmacist I’ve actually referred a few patients to your videos that have mentioned wanting to try natural alternatives (prefaced with check with your doctor). It’s crappy dispensing this junk to people every day but if I can help a few people find health with less medication it’ll be worth it.

As a supplement manufacturer, our only piece of advice around Ashwagandha is that if you already have low cortisol levels it may not be for you. It can really help people that have to work or live with a lot of constant pressure and are feeling the burn from it.

We generally recommend 5 days on, 2 days off and every 6 weeks take a week off. If you experience any of the 'emotionless' side effects from it then lower the dosage. If it still continues after that then stop taking it.

Thank God at 63 next month, I’ve never had any maintenance drugs but my 5 siblings have. Happy to say I do IF (omad) & keto & take some supplements since I first learned about Dr. Berg. He’s incredibly helpful! 😊

When my grandmom was about 68. I told her that studies provided "evidence" that daily aspirin would reduce her risk of stroke. She was in fairly good health. She spoke to her doctor who put her on a daily regimen, which she adhered to for 16 yrs. At the age of 84, she was told her kidneys were badly damaged (by the use of the aspirin) and was taken off the aspirin. A few months later, I got wind of a study that said long term use of aspirin was no longer recommended.

It is to my eternal regret that I didn't leave her to manage her health with her traditional /natural remedies, now that I realise how many "studies" are funded by corporations that skew data to fit their narrative.

There is a reason that certain herbal remedies last beyond the few months or couple of years of a fad and have transcended generations for hundreds of years.

I started taking ashwagandha because I found that my blood sugar remains high whatever I do. Then I realised that this is because I feel stressed all the time. I started Ashwagandha 150 mg twice a day and my blood glucose is near normal. After two weeks I have taken a day off all supplements except B Complex today. From tomorrow I will reduce Ashwagandha dose to 150 mg at night.
It has definitely made me much calmer.

Yesterday I took Ashwagandha before going to my dentist for a root canal. It did it’s job and is my go-to when I need unnerving. Thank you Dr Berg for the reinforcement.

Ashwagandha is part of my daily supplement intake for two years. I started it during a severe anxiety episode and it really helped. I keep taking it every morning as it kind of takes the edge and keeps me focused and more relaxed😊

Ashwaganda is wonderful. I suffered from severely bloating and fluid retention after cancer treatment. After only 10 days the fluid was completely gone and staying away. I also had very severe fatigue and brain fog. After 3 weeks both are gone. Wish I knew about it a long time ago

Thank you for doing this video.
I have been caring for my mother, who has Alzheimers for 10 months, 24 hours a day without a day off, and I can tell that my cortisol levels are EXTREMELY out of wack. I've never had an issue with my weight or weight in my tummy, but I do right now.
I appreciate this more than you know. I actually bought some ashwaganda powder for stress, but I haven't started taking it yet, so I greatly appreciate this video.
Thank you!
