I use to think like this but realized that u shouldn't limit yourself do both weights and calisthenics along with stretching.

Use lifting and calisthenics and become the ultimate athlete. Both are great. No point in neglecting one or the other just to be a purist.

For people that are severely overweight and un-exercised it is IMPORTANT you do not start with standard exercises or yoga. You WILL injure yourself and those injuries will scare you away from trying. Find the lightest exercises to challenge your body first. When I was 300 pounds before I did squats I went to my stairs and just stepped up and down on the first step until my legs felt like jelly. 6 weeks later ONLY THEN did I try chair squats. It is 4 months later. I can now safely do an unassisted squat. Recognize your body level and limits! DO NOT INJURE YOURSELF!!!

I really love doing calisthenics, especially pull ups, dips, and front levers, but I can not agree completely with lifting weights not being functional. Doing dead lifts helps lifting heavy objects and strengthens your lower back very efficiently, and biceps curls, although not being strictly necessary helps carrying stuff.

I love this, it’s a great video and I’ve been telling people this forever! The biggest thing is Holding your Core and flexing through every workout. This is real content! The Food is the most important it’s 80% of the look you want you must have a Cal deficit to lose weight in a major Cal overload to Gain. Mix this with nutrient dense food. If you want to look big like a bodybuilder, you must lift weights! Eat 2x as much. Do you wanna be body strong and injury resistant do calisthenics eat 2k cals a day

When my family told me to start working out (which I haven't), I was always confused because all I did was do weights. Sure, that's good. But my dream was to be able to do new physical abilities with my body. And just building muscle didn't seem like satisfying information for me.

But Alhamdullilah, that this video has come across me. It feels like the door that I've been staring at confused had finally cleared up!
