An alternative to a credit cards is opening a store account in stores where you regularly buy stuff anyway. The effect to your credit score is almost the same depending on the amounts. For example, I opened a store account at a clothing store I regularly buy clothes at. It allows me to buy stuff and pay it off monthly. With this only I increased my credit score from medium to high in a matter of months. Not financial advice but good to know.

In New Zealand to get any benefit from a credit card's reward points, you'll have to spend 10's of thousands a month and even then you'll only get a toaster at the end of the year

Just use a prepaid debit card.. but don’t fall for credit. Dept will make ur life hell… when you have your own money you think twicely before spending unlike credit

If you dont have enough money to pay off whatever your buying then how do you use credit? Im juat confused. Lets say i make 5000 a month. And i want to buy a dishwasher for 2000 but have other bills and wont have that 2000 grand
