YESSSS SMOOTH EDITING EXPERIENCE... REPEAT AFTER ME: SMOOTH PLAYBACK IS WAY MORE IMPORTANT THAN EXPORT TIME

render time is not important, smooth butter flow working is very important when editing. who are all accept my thoughts?

Dude yes! The important part about a laptop is the editing experience, that's where you spend your time! You can export videos while you sleep so I don't know why a lot of review videos focus on that part of it.
I'm looking at a new laptop, but I don't think I can go for the premium of the macbook (and the OS), when you can get a windows machine with the same hardware for so much less.

Every time that monitor wobbles I get really scared.

I use the iMac Pro as my main workstation for video editing, my workflow is much faster than ever before, not only renders times but mainly the timeline editing experience is insanely smooth even with the settings on FCPX set on better quality all the time! Totally recommend. Greetings

Just what I was looking for Jason, thank you! Being able to see playback and general editing experience in a review like this, for a specific machine, is so much more valuable than export times. Who cares about export time anyway?! Go get a coffee or lunch if you’re exporting big projects!

The editing experience is all I care about, I am with you! Thanks for the video!

I always love the way you review the laptop in editor's perspective; that is about the timeline performance 😄. Keep up the good work!🌸👍

I clicked on the link and it says discountinued 😭, what are my options now, im just trying to find an apple laptop that works well editing footage on premiere pro. I was thinking of desktop but that wont work when im traveling

Great review! Playback without dropped frames is everything. Benchmark tests are relatively meaningless. I just wanna be able to play back 4k footage from my Mavic and happily scrub. Can't wait for your review on the new 16"! That's my next computer for sure.

I may be completely off the topic of this video, but you killed it with those Japan time lapses! I wish I had known you’d be here!

Great stuff. You using metal or open CL? Since the last Adobe update the MacBook Pro is faster in rendering and performs better in the timeline in Premiere than any Pc laptops. Even last years 2018 performs better.
I have tested them all.

Great review... I need to just buy it! I'm maxing out the ram this time since I do After Effects...

3:52 On the line right under the test footage there is a round light, green on the mac and yellow on the windows one. What does the light tell?

This is a review I've searched for ! Thanks for this Video ! But I have one question: how is the performance between 560x and Vega 20 ? .. is there a huge difference while editing in premiere or final cut or resolve ? .. does it faster render with Vega 20 ? .. and how much faster ? .. I don't care about a difference of 5 min. more rendering. Is the editing same smooth with 4k in Timeline playing with 560x like this video here with the Vega 20 ? .. Thank You for your answers :)
