Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about SketchUp's new tool in the comments below! Plus...breaking off SketchUp Free and Ipad separately...good idea? Finally - was anyone in the room and could maybe tell me what that award was for? :)

1.Shorts … I hate them, I wish there was a way to hide them from my sub feed entirely. But what do I know, if they’re popular you should do them, I just won’t see the content.
2.Separate channels for iPad/Web products … Yea, good idea. Once you’ve learned the fundamentals of SU then everything new and interesting is plugins. Having a dedicated place for iPad/free should attract a new audience for you.
3.New extn connect … Bring it On! I’ve been using SU since 2004 and you’ve introduced new/better ways to do things to me along with showing me how to use my existing extn’s better.

Definitely want more iPad SketchUp videos - the few that come from Trimble are pretty elemental, and I’d love to learn how to use the iPad Pro as a primary SketchUp device. If that means a new channel, excellent - but we spend $$$ per year for this, so I hope you do not just the basic but also any advanced methods for the iPad, even if they don’t overlap with Free.

You’re also correct - in general, if the shorts aren’t valuable I learn to ignore them. If you create good shorts, I’ll certainly watch both channels for them

sure thing sir, it is really important to make shorts for tips and tricks, extensions etc. also make shorts about some important extensions which you have already made videos about, for new subscribers. I sub to you long ago but i just started learning SketchUp from you. It would really be helpful. Thanks.

I'm interested in the skp for ipad... but I use a surface, so I'd love to use stylus as a drawing tool. Admittedly, I have not really tried it too much (still learning how to use the programme at all...)

Would highly recommend you do iPad content, as a professional in the construction industry being able to make a quick 3d model could make the difference in getting change orders approve faster which can potentially increase revenue.

Sketchup for Ipad is not ready for business use especially if one has anything other then the M1 ipad or any skp model of sufficient any size such as an even basic home for architecture (I've now tried 3). It's even more infuriating that the SKP devs can't tell anyone what metrics or parameters one needs to stay inside for a model to be stable likely because they don't even know themselves on what should still be beta level software. The current non M1 ipad isn't good enough to merely even open standard models received from clients much less have it running and crashing consistently which is what I hear happens on M1 ipads. So frustrating. It's fine as a toy but no serious work should be done on it at this time.
