We voted for Brexit for a number of reasons. First immigration has been to high and was not sustainable. Second, we want to make our own laws for our own people. Third we give the EU 20 billion pounds a year, and get 10 billion back.
We voted in 1975 to join the Economic community, but over the last four decades the EU has become a very political enterprise getting more and more involved in our lives. We NEVER voted for this, and many people from the left and right voted against being in the EU. Anti EU feeling is higher across europe than ever before, why is this?

This was a simple issue. What began, ostensibly as a trading bloc, turned out to be a POLITICAL entity in disguise. The EU is a smokescreen behind which lurks an organised crime syndicate which, unelected, unaccountable and largely unknown, dictates all aspects of everything; right down to the finest details of your life. This even includes how big your pillowcases can be and how hot your toaster gets; no exaggeration. The Brits had to choose between a Soviet - style totalitarian police state and a British - style Parliamentary Democracy. Fortunately, Brits in sufficient numbers saw through the smoke and mirrors and voted accordingly.

I can tell you why I voted to Leave the EU.

Freedom...simple as that.

1. The Freedom for my country to govern itself without outside interference from a dictatorial government.
2. The Freedom to trade with any other country in the world without the constraints imposed by the European Customs Union.
3. The Freedom to control our own borders and to determine for ourselves the conditions that will be applied to people wishing to join us.

It's really as simple as that, and anyone in the USA ought to be able to grasp the concepts involved as you fought to wars to achieve the same level of freedom for your country.

i know that soooo many are claiming economic reasons for the brext, but in my opinion it's just about migration. pay a visit to the uk and you might understand why they decided to get their borders back.
