1/2 white onion
3 garlic cloves
1 ea serrano
2 cup beef broth, low sodium

→ Picadillo
1 lb ground beef, 80/20
1/2 white onion
1 ea tomato

→ Veggies
1 ea large gold potato
2 ea carrots
1 cup frozen corn
1/2 bunch of cilantro
1 cup frozen peas
Salt to taste

How different than the Cuban and Puerto Rican Picadillo i've had. It looks really good, I will try it with that rice you served it with.

Dear Cocina, I just made this recipe for the family tonight. The Picadillo was a hit and will become one of our standard rotation dishes. The leftovers will go with an over easy egg tomorrow morning very nicely.

My mom used to, in the '60s, have me go out with my rifle and get a couple of rabbits, skin them, clean them and take them to her. She would make a nice red sauce with guajillo and pasilla. Picadillo was always ground beef. Yum!

Looks great! Not sure if you figured it out, but Cilantro only likes the cooler weather. It will go to seed as soon as summer hits, unfortunately. I’m still stuck buying it at the grocery store. I love rabbit too. 😉
