Just a reminder to whever is thinking of using it for privet data. If you dont you mega for quiet some time and keep getting multiple notices for account not being active and possible chances of deactivation. Then your account will get hacked. happend with two of my accounts that I didn't use got a read me txt document inside my mega storage saying "pay bit coin of we will spread your privet content", also noticed that all my folders had file sharing links with them, they could have just remove my data to free storage but two different accounts with different username and passwrod which I dont even use for any other website is preety suspicious. I didn't had anyting important so I didn't bother but with my main mega account I was using regularly is fine. Still I am trying to move my stuff to some local storage and will use the mega app for non important storage for some work files to transfet across devices and share with others with links when I need.

They screwed me ages ago... just be aware to read all emails they send to you regularly.... went from a 50 gigs free account (had no duration limit) to having 'all' files locked (irreversibly deleted) because they sent some standard spam email saying I had 3 weeks to reduce stored content down to 20 gigs or something, and of course I never saw that spam email. What's more need to be mindful they got busted a decade or so ago for being dodgy (megaupload) thus screwing countless members.
