Thank you, Dr Mindy, for information on breaking a fast. I have been doing IF and 24-36 hour fasting for over a year. I make notes on each fast to see how my body reacts to the foods I break a fast with. It's important to listen to your body. It will tell you what will work for you. Love your videos!

In most of your videos you feature a tremendous amount of expensive products. I would love to see you do some videos on budget friendly fasting. 1 million people cannot afford what you can afford. We need practical, real food, affordable solutions. I'm having great success by following you but I am growing weary of all the product promotion.

I tried this today and it made such a difference. My fasting periods have gotten longer and longer because I couldn't handle the pain when I eat. It is one of the reasons that I don't eat more than once a day, often going 2 to 3 days without eating because of the pain. I now have a formula to be able to enjoy a meal without pain after. Thank you so much for this information

Hi Dr Mindy, my name is Marina, I’m 58 year old living in South Africa. Firstly thank U for all your effort to give us videos an advices. This is my second attempt to put me experience from my 3 day water fast, hope this one will be successful. First one I cleared accidentally just before finish.
I did my 3 dat WF from Sunday 20:00 to Wednesday 20:00. It was water, green and bergamot tea mix without any addition, and Himalayan salt pieces. Everything went well, did not feel hunger, dizziness or headaches. Energy level was also quite good. My blood sugar in the morning of 3rd day was 4.4, and just before breaking fast it was 2.6; my ketone level was ‘Large’ (Ketone strips), my BP was 109/63 pulse 77 ( usually is 90/60).
Last night of fasting I woke up at 2:45, and felt very thirsty. After 72 hours of fasting I broke fast with one small avocado, and around 22:00 I had some watermelon (?), and during a night woke up at 2:30. The next day my BP was Ok, but my Pulse was 100, ketones were reduced, and blood sugar was 5.5. I visited my GP to request blood test for liver and my CRP ( due to my autoimmune). The first day after 3 day fast during a day I had some kefir, avocado, watermelon, coffee (1/4 cup), and around 21:00 2 fried eggs with cucumber and avo. Now second day, I had avocado again, and almond butter, and some corn wafers. Just to mention, I’m on chronic medication for Psoriatic arthritis. My major reason to do 3 day water fasting was for ‘autoimmune reboot’ hoping that my back pain will go away (😅), but regarding back pain, it was a bit more intense, and I will se how it will go further. Overall I felt more tired, and somehow confused, was it good thing for me this fast, because it does put quite stress on the body. So, Dr Mindy, was my fast ‘breaker’ ok, what should be the way forward for me, should I continue intermittent fasting ( I did it a week prior 3 day W fast), I would appreciate your advice. Dr Pelz, important is to have 2 days of carrot crushed + plenty of veg intake before you start fasting, it helps restart of bowel after fasting.
We don't want strained stool after fasting. 2 liters of water each day with lemon juice daily during fasting.

I learned that from my maternal grandmother.
Recently did 60 hrs fast and i take carrot juice with coconut water.

I broke a 107 hour fast with Kettle and Fire bone broth. And boy! That took me out. I felt sluggish and had to take a nap 30 mins after.
I had previous used Cocoyo, which is pretty good. I think I’ll stick with that next time.

I’m 70 hours in. Not sure when I’ll stop, but it’s a challenge not to overdo it at break fast time.

We are lucky to have a local coconut water kefir maker here on Maui. They use fresh coconut water and cultivate it into this wonderful probiotic “champagne” coconut water. I would definitely break my fast with this. Thanks dr Mindy!

I’ve been fasting over the last couple decades and I had always broken my fasts the “ suggested” way, i.e. with plant foods. The problem being that if I eat anything plant based, no matter the length of the fast, I have severe diarrhea the rest of the day. Last year I dabbled in carnivore and that’s when I discovered I could finally break a fast without destroying the toilet. I usually have bone broth and then steak or ground beef and I feel great with zero adverse reactions. Just goes to show the importance of figuring out what works best for you!

Lord I wish I had seen this video yesterday, I did my first 3 day fast and I ate a beef roast, lol. Needless to say I was on the toilet all night! Thanks for video, very helpful.

You are so right, I've had a lot of stomach trouble, been on a hold. From Doctors, got a hernia, and gallstones, a lot of stomach trouble. Went on 5 day fast when I heard you say it was a great fast and that you also did it . Great, bet yes I was also doing keto, I need to lose a lot. Broke my fast wrong, ate hamburger, wished I'd have waited on you to tell me the right way. Love your show, thank you.

Over the last ten years I have used the Master Cleanse twice a year, to help reset my body's metabolism, and maintain a healthy weight . In September of 2018, I was diagnosed with renal cancer, and RFA procedure was done in December. Since then I have attempted and failed to complete the Master Cleanse twice in the last year. Last month my blood tests indicated a 12.9 A1C, with a glucose level of 496. Over the last month I have been able to lose about 12 pounds, and with diet and medication, reduce my glucose levels to around 140. I am considering a 7-10 day water fast to reset my body, and to reverse the effects of Insulin resistance in my cells. I hope this path I have chosen will aid me to better health.

Hi Dr. Mindy, first I wanted to thank you so much for your awesome videos...

I am on a 14 day water-only fast, I started on Sep 22nd. and have lost 17.4 lbs. so far, I feel great and no urges and I also quit drinking and smoking as well all at the same time.

My only question to your 3-Step method to break the fast, since it will take 7 days to ease into eating normal again, how would I divide the method during a 7 day period, in other words, how many days on Step 1, how many days on Step 2 and finally Step 3?

Dr. Mindy I would love to hear your suggestions.
