Mario is BALD?! #lumpdump #shorts

One of the earliest versions of Mario... was bald?!

Mario's first handheld platformer was on the Gameboy. It was Super Mario Land! Strangely, at about the same time a cartridge used by Nintendo to test their hardware had Super Mario Land sprites... but they depicted him as bald. Could the original intent of Nintendo have been that Mario was bald?

Fact: Mario WAS bald, in his first hatless desing, he showed that he was bald but later, Mario's desing was changed

I remember an interview a long time ago where Miyamoto mentioned that Mario was Bald in Supermario Land because of the gameboys limitations. This is also because Mario land was originally supposed to be a very late point in the Mario timeline.

I don't think Mario would cry about being bald; he would embrace it because he is now way more aerodynamic

There's more evidence for this. Apparently, when Miyamoto was asked about early designs for mario during an interview in 2012, he said "HAH mario BALD HAHAHA BALDY! HAHA STUPID SHINY HEAD mario BALDING NO HAIR BALD! SUPER BALDING BROTHER!" and refused to elaborate.

This theory Is further proved by the SNES. You see, due to optimization settings on Super Mario World, both Mario and his hat are actually different entities who use code to look like they are aligned and not differ from one power to another. Due to the fact that Mario Is never actually seen without his hat, they didn’t bother to actually give him hair hidden on the cap because It clipped from the hat and It looked pretty bad, so they decided to keep him bald to fix the issue. Some people say that this was also a reference, but I don’t know about that.

This revelation is only further proven by the Mario Plushie, which is infamously known for the lack of hair on his head. Nintendo has been planting these seeds for a while.
