Mario had BLOODY EYES?! #shorts

When Mario dies in Super Mario World, he looks a little strange!!

Growing up, I always thought that when Mario died in Super Mario World, he got bloody eyes. Looking at it now, I think I get what they were going for, but I can't unsee the bloody eyes. What do you see when you look at the sprite in question? Let me know in the comments.

I'm still doing some experimentation, I'd like to make more YouTube Shorts/TikTok stuff. This is part of my brainstorming process. Maybe I make videos about old sprites? Change them or make them cursed?
