We had a family member with a hoarding problem. The rats had chewed thru a brick wall as one entrance point, chewed thru a Hardi-board siding spot on the second floor as a second. HER CAT HAD MADE FRIENDS WITH THEM, WE WATCHED HER INTERACT WITH TWO OF THEM! Used 5gallon bucket traps and trash removal to get ahead of the problem, took two YEARS! much love from Oklahoma!

Poisons can absolutely work. An integrated approach is always best, but poisons will work if you know what you're doing. Specifically, start them on a bunch of different foods and see which they actually eat, then poison that one as you know it's something they're willing to eat. But yes, rats are smart and very skeptical of new things in their area, making them hard to poison. But that doesn't mean it's impossible. Source - got my pest control license in high school and been in the industry since.

I remember 30 years ago cleaning up underground Atlanta...they put out 18 inch square glue boards...then they caught one...clack clack..the rat was the size of a beagle dog and at the base of the tail you could not put your fingers around it touching...used a shotgun to kill it...

I bought the fish flavored green pellets from lowes. Worked beautifully. Mfs we’re under my house and getting into my attic but not inside. I set live traps with no luck. Heard them every night above my master bedroom. 3 days later it’s dead silent. They ate those green balls up fast and the flies took care of clean up

All you need it’s couple of broken beer bottles Orr any kind and almost grind them filled up the hole w it then get some heavy Brillo from Home Depot and stuck it in the hole
And cover it
I’ll guarantee you that your problem will be over tats or mouse have No bones if they try to go through that hole it won’t make it the glass and Brillo will stab them they won’t be able to move
