My skincare routine for long flights! | #shorts

Most people know, I despise an in-flight routine where you use makeup wipes to essentially NOT really cleanse your skin and also kick off loss of major hydration, so you’re starting at a negative. Instead, if you’re going to be on a long flight, try to pick an overnight and do most of your routine right before you go to the airport or at the airport before you board the plane. You can do a true double cleanse, apply your serums, and most importantly, moisturize moisturize moisturize. The airplane is so extremely dry, so do it before if you can, then continue to moisturize while on the plane.

For this ride, I could have skipped applying more, but I went ahead and disinfected my hands, applied a creamy retinoid from Geek & Gorgeous, a rich moisturizer from La Roche-Posay, and a lip balm from my brand @Naturium.

In the morning, I woke up and immediately applied a stick sunscreen from Kahi. Normally I would choose a more moisturizing sunscreen stick, but forgot to swap it out if my bag before I left. I don’t touch my face at all!

As soon as I get to my hotel, the first thing I do is hop in the shower!

Hi all! It’s important to point out, I DESPISE in-flight skincare routines. If it’s not a long flight, do your skincare before if you can or just don’t stress about it. I only care about being moisturized and wearing sunscreen if it’s 5 hours or less. This happened to be a long overnight, international flight, so while I try to do most of my skincare before I board, the flight is much longer, so moisturizer is really important. And of course, applying sunscreen the next morning before you land! Try to avoid “washing” your face on a plane and do it before so your skin is already moisturized when you board and then you’re just continuing to add moisturize! 👍

Airplanes dry your skin out, but I use Vaseline and call it a day. It's great for keeping your skin hydrated and very cheap

I’m such a germaphobe on airplanes. I got a synthetic makeup brush (less absorbant fibers) that I clean the day before and apply my skincare on those long haul flights. It’s the only time I use a makeup brush for skincare application because I am so not into touching my face on travel days.

Even on a long flight, there's no way I'm touching my face. I usually don't even brush my teeth on an overnight flight because the bathrooms are so gross and cramped. I just suffer until I get to the airport!
