Arduino Pulse Width Modulation - Mini Tutorial with Oscilloscope Measurement

Just a quick video of using Arduino Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to control the LED backlights on my Nokia 5110 LCD display attached to my data logger. Some of the eBay units appear to be ground side switched for the 5110 LCD. This is a simple (not recommended) method to control the back light from one PWM pin.

Hi, is high side switching a setting in the oscilloscope? I'm currently measuring a PWM signal that comes out inverted on the oscilloscope and I'm wonder why.

Hello Sir, first of all Good video. But I have a doubt how the connections are made, I have read many forums and none of it is showing clear connection diagram.

I have Arduino Mega 2560, If I connect my PWM pin and Ground pin directly to the scope is there a chance that my board will get damaged due to the extra current going through the circuit?

Or instead should i use a resistor (~300 ohm) in series while connecting to the oscilloscope? Or is it any other way to connect?

Please do reply, Thank you
