I'm having trouble editing descriptions in line items. QB 2013, Somehow I added a series of periods in the description field, which for some reason has taken up 4 lines. Whenever I create an estimate or invoice and I get to that line item number, I have a large space on my printed sheet. I've tried editing the periods out, but it won't work. How can I edit that and get my single line item back?

I'm having a little trouble having my items but in Reports, Company & Financial in Profit&Loss it don't show the sales. How to change setting up accounts to get sales ?

I'm having a little trouble having my items show value on my balance sheet. I run my own company and am setting up accounts. The items don't cost me anything but I want to value them on what they would sell for. How do I do this?

Go to edit-preferences-items and inventory and select that you use inventory.
Then it will show up,
