The Amazon Bookstore in NYC

Here's a look at New York City's new Amazon Bookstore. It's located on the second floor of The Shops at Columbus Circle in the Time Warner Center. The Amazon Bookstore sells a variety of books, sorted and organized by customer rating data. It also offers a variety of gadgets and miscellaneous items one might expect to find in a traditional bookstore.

I love book stores! I never order anything online. I'd rather go to a store, buy it and take it home there and then! Especially book stores! I could stay in a book store for ages just wandering around. I love the cosy feeling it gives me. Maybe it's just me 🤷

Great video! I understand why they don’t list the prices, that would be an admin nightmare for the employees. By not having the prices listed they don’t have to flip the price in store for online sales, price matching changes, etc. I buy a lot of my bestsellers at Target and price match it to Amazon *every time* sometimes you want the book right now and don’t wanna wait 2days or so to get it.

I would 100% shop in bookstores instead of online if they had better discounts because, for book lovers, nothing in the world beats browsing inside a bookstore. The Amazon bookstore gives you the same price as online (as long as you're a prime member) so I love going. Other than that, I frequent used bookstores.

They don't display the prices because amazon prices varies every day. So, the products can't have a fixed price similar to other book stores.

4:13 Paperwhite 3. Nice. Although the fact that they use "Special Offers" models which require the extra swipe, is interesting, but I'm sure they replaced them with newer ones by now. Still, a bookstore allowing customers to flip through digital copies is interesting to me…

I like the fact that the books are the same price in store as they are online. When I was younger and priced books out at barnes and nobles' website, I did not realize that in store prices and online prices differed until I made the journey to the closest barnes and noble to me and learned the hard way lol. Hopefully it does so they open more brick and mortar stores.

I'd go, even though I have Amazon prime what if I don't want to wait two days for my book to come in, what if I wanted to walk in and get a book immediately. I wish we had one in Texas
