I think there's a good chance that flameheart is european but has a ton of asian designs to probably honer his wife, because his son is asian we know that, we see his face in the comics, but we also see non skeletal flameheart and he's definently not asian there, but yeah, flameheart's stuff has always been asian themed, or at least the burning blade rleated things, ashen lords n whatnot

Also two ashen lords are already using asian stuff in their outfits. Captain Grimm has asian styled jacked and Warden Chi is propably completely asian xD.

I also want to say that it would be cool idea if Flamehart was now company speaker, but his son would later help us to take him down for the real pirate freedom. Maybe he could became disillusioned by his father and he would get his post back again after that.

I think they should stay more in the game's lore. With each new season, more mysteries emerge and reveal more ancient secrets of history. It would be nice

You can just about make out the rim of the giant wooden reaper mask behind Flamehearts throne, but whether it's intact or not is another matter. In another note, a lot of if not most of his lutenants seem to be from asia too given their names. Flameheart is said to have traveled the world, so there's entirely the possibility that he has been to china and picked up some crew there and just decided he liked the aesthetic. Chinese pirates at the time were quite notorious as well so it wouldn't be impossible that he took some inspiration from them.
