Rotten Roommate'ing

The plaintiff and the defendant are former roommates. The plaintiff says everything was fine until the defendant’s boyfriend moved in, and the plaintiff wanted to split all the bills by three. One day, the defendant reportedly locked the plaintiff out without much notice, and she shoved some of his personal belongings in the hallway. The plaintiff is suing for stolen and damaged property. The defendant says she agreed to split the bills three ways, and she’s countersuing for unpaid rent and utilities.

Defendant laughs as she learns how badly the case is going for her. There are only so many reasons for that. Either it's nervous laughter or she's too dumb and/or crazy to realize what's going on.

He should of went to the leasing office and told them someone that wasn't on the lease was squatting there and documented everything since she was trying to make him pay for her man🤨

I am in favor of a hefty penalty for anyone who packs up someone elses possesions without permission. It's quite an invasion of privacy.

I LOVE law & I LOVE this judge!! I think if I had ever gotten the opportunity to be an audience member I wld have had to try hard not to yell out after her ruling like a fangirl at a Beyoncé concert lmao. The judge was in a really good mood for this case. Usually she be yelling and raving(partly for the show I'm sure) about people's action and how wrong it is (the defendant in this case) instead she's making joke about the lady's audacity in locking out thr plaintiff. Keep it consistent Marilyn.

With so many people sub-letting a room in an apartment they are renting, it makes me ask the question, why doesn't the judge consult the lease to see if that person even has the right to sub-lease a room, because if they don't then they should not be allowed to collect rent. I bet she doesn't declare this income on her taxes...
