have been a victim of helicopter asian parents, ended up being completely clueless about how to be an adult, having crippling anxiety/depression and perfectionism and being absolutely terrified of making mistakes and just... not knowing how to live and enjoy life, like life was just studying, building up to be successful... but i'm learning and moving out so i can finally learn to make mistakes and learning from them WITHOUT being yelled at

Just Tek, this is so basic . This is not about man or women it's about common sense and growing up in this world.
Being raised by a parent or both parents doing everything for their children is beyond destructive.... look at the differences in our generations, now we have children young adults that cannot deal with ANYTHING negative or challenging.... there are few and far between that can do that and this is the damage that so many people from my generation have done. Raise them with love and encouragement and not doing for them.... knowing between right and wrong are the only tools they need . Just know that not all right is good and not wrong is bad just encouragement and acceptance is what they need.
