What did Yoda think of Anakin killing Count Dooku?

And Yoda actually made up his mind about his feelings for Dooku before episode 3!

You see, in legends months before the Battle of Coruscant, Dooku reached out to Yoda asking him to meet him to talk about him leaving the Sith.

And Yoda was suspicious of this call for help but still had a soft spot for his former apprentice and agreed to meet him.

And when he met up with Dooku, he was surprised at first at how calm he was and willing to talk.

But it was obvious that Dooku didn’t want to rejoin the Jedi but to try and turn Yoda over to the dark side.

Of course Yoda rejected this offer but he tried one more time asking Dooku to come back to the lightside and that he would forgive him for the damage he had done.

But Anakin and Obi Wan appeared around the corner who tracked Yoda in fear he was in danger!

And after seeing them, Dooku attacked his former master and in that moment, Yoda knew that there was no chance in bringing him back to the light.

So, when he heard that Dooku was killed, he didn’t even mourn for him as he already felt that he died months before!

Conclusion: If you want to turn someone back to the light side, make sure Obi-Wan isn't around

Little did Yoda realize that after Count Dooku perished he rose from the dead, went to Earth in the 1950 and 1960s, and appeared in Hammer films as Count Dracula.

Short answer: Yoda didn’t care dooku died

This isn’t entirely true. Dooku was never planning on turning Yoda. He and Palpatine devised a plan to trap and kill Yoda. However Yoda asked dooku to try to convince him to join the dark side to give him a better understanding of why people do.

This doesn’t line up with the movie. Dooku was surprised Grandmaster Yoda was there. When I was a kid I watched this released in the theater. There was a definite feeling of desperation on the part of the audience knowing that Obi Wan and Anakin had both been taken out, and Dooku seemed to be getting away with having massacred so many of the Jedi at the arena, all without him being revealed. When Grandmaster Yoda walked in, the feeling in the theater changed immediately from one of panic and dread to extreme hope and excitement. Suddenly we knew it was all okay because now, the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy, the Grandmaster himself had arrived… in person… for the first time… to personally intervene, and he did NOT disappoint! When Yoda activated that lightsaber and began flipping around the room at 900 years old with the agility and mastery that no human could EVER exhibit, he had Dooku fighting for his life within seconds, and Dooku was one of the finest saber duelists in the galaxy, it was the most electric moment, for me, in the entire saga.

Read the book. Dooku saw a vision of yoda consumed by the dark side and it frightened him even more than Palpatine did.

The light saber duel between Yoda and Dooku was literally a precursor to what was going to happen between Obi Wan and Anakin.

I am surprised you missed the most pertinent exchange of the meeting on Vjun. After they engaged in their epic duel, Dooku, doing quite well for himself, landed a light blow on Yoda with his saber, and he exclaimed: "I've hurt you!" Yoda responded: "Many times... love you enough to destroy you I do."

Remember that Yoda is VERY old, he has seen many of his students die as they aged or died in battle. So when Yoda confirmed he's not coming back his mourning was for him to have fallen away from the light not that died.

Bro you could have just played the “mourn them do not” clip and called it a day

That’s sad, he missed his master so much he wanted him to join the dark side with him.

Actually you're wrong Yoda was upset because of the way count dooku died, after he cut off his hands he could have just took him into the council even Anakin said it wasn't the Jedi way, Yoda knew Anakin was turning to the dark side after that.
