How DANGEROUS Is The BANANA SPIDER?

One of the coolest spiders you can find in Georgia is the Golden Orb-Weaver, also known as the Banana Spider. They spin massive webs and are well worth taking a closer look at.

The natural world is home to many amazing creatures that are overlooked by most people. It is my mission on this channel to find and film some of the most amazing animals, (especially invertebrates) that many have never heard of. Hell yeah brother! I'd see these all the time in the Florida woods/swamps. They would be in huge webs strung out over 4WD trails. I never knew they were so docile. Thank you so much for this video. I learned something very useful.

I love these guys. Also had em every summer when I was stationed in South Korea. I can only imagine how big they get where the winters don't kill them off.

dark corners of the woods?? nooo those things are making their booby traps in the middle of tall grass and crops just waiting for you to walk or run through them and get stuck on your face or body!! I lived in the country in South Dakota growing up and had so many nightmarish situations with these guys. One kinda funny one however was when I was out with my dog and she ran into a web and the spider ended up on her face, when I saw it I started running from her but she took it as i wanted to play and started chasing me!! At some point it had gotten scraped off by the tall grass but not before I had already ran and dodged for at least a minute or so xD

I often see these beautiful spiders in my yard in coastal Alabama. I'm always glad to find them weaving their golden orbs around my house. I think they bring good luck!

I got bit by one of them spiders with the kinda big black back with yellow stripes I don't know what it's called but I used to think they was banana spiders but when they bite they like hit you real fast so they always bite more then ones and that shit hurt so bad hole left arm started hurting and thought I was having a heart attack good thing I didn't die but yea if anyone knows what kinda spider I'm talking about please let me know it's butt is lil bit bigger then a quarter but oval 👍
