In this video I will explain the basic rules to dividing fractions. When dividing fractions we first take the inverse of the “second” fraction then the problem simply becomes a multiplication problem. So we simply multiply the numerators and multiply the denominators, and reduce the answers if possible.

ty you're covering all the tricks I missed in school, and my mathematical ability is all the better thanks to your videos.

Thank you for your videos! Great stuff.
The only problem is i can't visualise how this works in a real situation.
An analogy would be great.

Okay so I believe this is where probably 33% of students who are "not geniuses" get lost.
(those who can do it "in their head" and those who cannot and need to show each step)
For the following:
4/5 ÷ 1/2.
4/5 x 1/(1/2)
4/5 x (2/1)
4(2)/5(1)
8/5

It should be worked out showing "all steps".
Directly converting the "slang" ÷ symbol into the reciprocal, which is 1/"whatever".
Then into a product.
