I work at a tire shop, and teslas are pretty cool. Some customers will drop off the car and keep the key card on them, so when it’s time to pull the car in they just put the car on Valet mode and we are able to drive it in and out of the bays.
When I first went to pull a Tesla in for service, I sat by the car for about 5 mins before I learned how to fricken unlock the thing. I was so determined. Getting in the Tesla I usually grab the key card and smack it around the center console until it turns on. Every time I walk away from a Tesla it feels so wrong bc you think it’s not going to turn off but it’s just out there doing it’s own thing like a pet lmao

We got all kinds of cars that come in, and the electric ones just confuse me
You don’t hear when they’re on! And the battery will empty when it stays on while it gets repaired and painted

I can totally relate.

The first time I drove a hybrid I panicked when it tripped over to full electric and the engine 'stopped'. Nobody warned me it's meant to do that. 😅

The off button is in the settings but normally you would just lock the car from the app or tap the card to the B pillar and it will “sleep”

Omg. I used to Nanny for a family who had a Tesla. She wanted me to get something out of it for her. She lived on the 23rd floor and I was in the parking gerage.. had no idea how to open the door, becuase there were... no handles. I was so freaking confused lol. In ad to call her and ask how to open the door. And then I drive them to a hotel or something and had to call her and ask how to tur it off as well. I can totally relate 😂
